ATEC computer is one of Asia’s leading computer manufactures. The company recently commissioned CyberWorks Consulting to advise and develop a B2B application that allows its dealers to purchase computers and peripherals online.
The system is completely web based and interfaces with ATEC’s legacy systems in the production and accounting departments. Dealers are able to log onto their secure account section and order products using the price and hardware configuration system.
The system takes the dealers orders and transmits it through to the factory, producing a picking list and assembly request for the production team. Huge amounts of paper-based processes were replaced with the introduction of the system, which is essentially a seller centric b2b exchange.
ATEC’s just in time system dove tailing perfectly into the application, which allowed them to further reduce inventory levels. Other major cost saving were achieved in the areas of reduced communications costs and the ability to change prices of components with immediate effect. This ability to modify prices on the fly was an essential requirement for ATEC as the prices for components change on a daily basis. Other site features include:
• Visitors to the ATEC website can view products along with recommended retail prices on the publicly available website.
• Search function for visitors to search for the dealer or distributor nearby their location in case they want to purchase a product from the dealer or distributor
• Member registration page for visitors that will allow visitors to be able to create their own account via the website.
• Visitors can print quotation and get quotation via email;
• Function for subscribe unsubscribe to receive newsletter from ATEC.
